Do you use AI to make any of your products?

Everything Absolute Tabletop makes is 100% created by humans. Absolute Tabletop vows to:

  • Never use AI-generated text or images in our books

  • Take every precaution to avoid using AI to brainstorm and develop ideas

  • Refuse to work with creators who use AI tools

  • Pay creatives a fair and equitable wage for handmade artistic work

As creators, we have significant concerns about the ethical and environmental impact of machine-generated text and images, and have zero interest in utilizing AI tools of any kind at any stage in the development of our books. Additionally, we will never knowingly work with a contracted artist or writer who chooses to use generative AI as part of their process.

Can I work for Absolute Tabletop?

All Absolute Tabletop products include next-level work by freelance artists, writers, playtesters, and proofreaders, and even though we work on a limited number of projects at a time, we are always accepting portfolios and submissions from potential new freelancers! If you’re interested, send us an email at AbsoluteTabletop@gmail.com with the subject line SUBMISSION. 

Account

Do I need an Absolute Tabletop account?

Yes, an account is needed to purchase and access your products through our site. Anything you purchase will be available to you indefinitely (or until the collapse of our digital society).

Why isn’t my login information working?

Make sure you’re signing in using the email address you used to create your Absolute Tabletop account. If you created an account at the time of purchase, this will be the same email address you used to check out. 

Digital Downloads and Physical Books

How do I access my downloads?

Click on the Digital Downloads link at the very top or bottom of the Absolute Tabletop homepage. Sign in using the email and password you used to create your account, and voilá – there they are!

If I buy the physical version of a book, do I get the digital PDF version too?

Yes! All physical copies of our books come with the PDF version included for free. If you bought a physical copy of one of our books elsewhere (such as your friendly local game shop), email us  and we’ll get you a complimentary PDF.

Can I get your books somewhere else?

Yes! You can find our books on DriveThruRPG and itch.io. However, our full catalog is currently only available on the Absolute Tabletop site.

If I buy your book somewhere else, are there any differences in quality?

The main difference you’ll find between physical books ordered from our site and books ordered elsewhere is the paper type. Books ordered on DriveThruRPG come with matte, plain paper, while those ordered through the Absolute Tabletop site are semi-gloss and smooth to the touch. However, the content inside is the same across retailers. Digital files will be the same no matter where they are purchased.

Are your books standalone, or do I need other books?

All our books are chock full of inspiration, useful for any situation or game. However, some work best after purchasing other books. Here’s a list for reference:

  • The Mecha Hack is a standalone game. The Mecha Hack: Mission Manual needs the core rules for full functionality.

  • Aether Nexus is based on The Mecha Hack but is a full, standalone game that requires no additional materials.

  • All our Adventure Kits are fun and useful no matter the game, but were written with the Dungeons & Dragons Open Gaming License in mind. 

  • A Dead Man’s Guide to Dragongrin is brimming with system agnostic possibility, and truly needs no prior books to enjoy. Its character creation section was designed with Dungeons and Dragons in mind. 

  • Be a Better Campaign Master and Be a Better Weapon Master 2 are totally system and setting agnostic. Dig in and put them to use wherever you’d like!

  • All of our free one-page rules work fully on their own – a complete game on a single page!

Shipping and Retailers

How do I track my parcel?

You’ll receive an email from our distributor as soon as the USPS tracking has been created. See below for more details. 

What are the specifics regarding the USPS delivery process, from order receipt to final delivery to the customer?

This varies, but in essence it looks like this:

  1. Orders are imported into our system at 6 a.m. every day.

  2. Orders are pulled, packed, and prepped the day they are imported.

  3. If shipping within the United States, the order will likely ship out the same day.

  4. If shipping to Canada, it may take up to a week for a parcel to be taken to USPS for International Ground shipping. If shipping outside of North America, it may take up to two weeks for a parcel to be taken to USPS for International shipping.

Note: We know the possible buffer period for international orders isn’t optimal. We’re working on ways around it (including more hubs), and we wanted to be forthright in the meantime.

  1. Once a parcel is with USPS, the shipping timeline depends on the method of shipping and the address for final delivery. 

Can I track my international order once the parcel leaves the US? How?

Once your USPS tracking concludes, and your parcel is adopted by another shipping service, you can reach out to our distributor (shipping@qmlogistics.com) for assistance with tracking. 

My book arrived damaged! What should I do?

Oh no! We hates it! This doesn’t happen often, but we’ll make it right. First, scan the QR code that came included in your parcel. Then, use that navigation to report the issue to our distributor, and we’ll get you another book as soon as possible. If you have any other issues, or if this doesn’t quite solve your problem, email us at AbsoluteTabletop@gmail.com with the subject line SUPPORT.

I’m a retailer – can I sell your book in my store?
